What size pot do I need?
Depending on how much live crawfish you will be cooking, different boiling pot sizes will apply. A 60 quart pot is suitable for up to 30 lbs. of crawfish, an 80 quart pot can boil 40 lbs. per batch, and a 120 quart pot can cook up to 60 lbs. of crawfish.
Typically other ingredients such as potatos, corn, onions, garlic, and will be added along with the crawfish, so keep this in mind when deciding on which size pot you will be using. For example, if you are cooking 30 lbs. of crawfish along with other ingredients, you may need a pot larger than 60 quarts.
