| CHOCOLATE CHESS TARTS Ingredients 1 (5-ounce) can evaporated milk 2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate 1/4 stick butter 2 eggs 1 1/4 cups sugar 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 12 unbaked (3-inch) tart shells Steps Preheat the oven to 350º F. Combine the milk, chocolate, and butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir frequently until the chocolate and butter are completely melted. Cool slightly. Combine the eggs and sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the chocolate mixture and the vanilla, stirring until well blended. Pour the mixture into the tart shells. Place the filled tarts on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes or until the filling sets. Cool on a wire rack. Makes 1 dozen tarts. |
